I am passionate about people and connections; for me, that is our reason for being, as humans. My desire to tell stories was formed when I was a child and first learned to write; the freedom and power in words was magical to me then, and still is now.

I’m proud to be from Yorkshire, a Leeds girl born and bred, with honesty and integrity at my core. You can trust me to hold your emotions and share the stories you have to tell. Whether that’s for a life affirming naming, wedding or vow renewal, or a fitting tribute for a loved one.

Emotions are what make us human, and love and grief go hand-in-hand. Both should be honoured and given the respect and ritual they deserve in recognition of each individual rite of passage.

My career has been founded on communication and connection with others. I worked in a range of marketing and communication roles for 23 years, which means I’ve worked with lots of different people and personalities, from all walks of life, and with different priorities. This experience allows me to easily empathise with others and creatively adapt to their needs and wishes.

I am fascinated by the cyclical nature of life, beginnings and endings, and everything in-between. I am an open book, what you see is what you get, and I have always found words to be comforting to me, whether that’s reading them or writing them, which has helped me to develop an emotional aptitude to narrate people’s stories with meaning and compassion.
